There are some rich sources to mine on this site, and the best place to dig is from the MAP link at the top of the site. In particular, review: There's Something About Money, which has been designed specifically to answer questions about money and its use for youth—and their parents and teachers. Under the Publications heading there are many links of interest including The Economy and You, a readable primer about the basic of economics in the Canadian context. The Survey of Canadian's Economic and Financial Understanding reveals what Canadians know or think we should know about the economic system and personal finance.
